Adjunct Culinary Arts Professor: instructs lecture and lab classes in the Culinary Arts Program.
The salary for this position is $675 per credit hour.
Responsibilities:
- 75% Teaches no more than 9 credit hours per semester.
- 10% Works as a team member in the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Programs; complies with all faculty responsibilities as outlined in college policies and procedures.
- 10% Contributes to campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements.
- 5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in culinary arts or hospitality with an emphasis on culinary arts. Appropriate certification or ability to be certified by the American Culinary Federation or other appropriate culinary accrediting agencies.
- A minimum of 3 years work experience in the culinary industry.
- Demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process and proven commitment to student success.
- Collegial attitude with college community as well as outside entities.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Excellent computer and multi-media skills.
- This position requires moderate physical exertion such as long periods of standing and repetitively lifting lightweight objects with frequent bending or stooping.
- Preferred: Previous successful experience teaching in the area of culinary arts at the university or community college level; however professional experience may be held as equivalent.
- Preferred: Experience in tracking student learning outcomes, analyzing resultant data, and implementing improvement plans.
