Adjunct Responsibilities:
- 60% Teaches no more than 9 credit hours per semester. Must be able and willing to teach hybrid courses.
- 20% Works as a team member in the department; complies with the “faculty responsibilities” as outlined in the Faculty Handbook and the College’s Policy and Procedure Manual.
- 10% Contributes to the campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements.
- 5% Evaluates, reviews and recommends revisions to curriculum, syllabi, textbooks, policy and procedures.
- 5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.

Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, or related field with 18 graduate hours in Criminal Justice from and accredited college or university is required.
- Previous successful experience teaching Criminal Justice courses in a high school, university and/or community college is preferred.
- A minimum of three years working in the Criminal Justice field (i.e. law enforcement, corrections, etc.) is required.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process and proven commitment to student success.
- Must demonstrate cooperative attitude and excellent team skills.
- Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the college for purposes of giving or obtaining information building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
- Requires excellent computer and multimedia skills.
- Knowledge of instruction, testing and evaluation of students.
- Requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
