Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- 25%: Provides leadership as a member of the executive leadership team, advises the President on policy development and other issues, and collaborates with executive leadership colleagues to ensure and promote student success.
- 15%: Directs the budgetary planning process for the entire college, ensures the development of reports, and presents to the Board of Trustees when requested.
- 15%: Manage the college's bond and non-bond investment portfolio ensuring adherence to the college's investment policy and all relevant regulations. Oversee the preparation of investment reports for Board of Trustees meetings and coordinate with external investment partners and internal stakeholders on investment activities, investment strategies, and reporting.
- 10%: Provides executive guidance and oversight on all major purchasing projects, including bond and building projects and renovations, ensuring all College contracts adhere to compliance standards.
- 10%: Establishes the vision, strategic priorities, and policy framework for the Grayson College Police Department and risk management initiatives, aligning these functions with the College's overall mission and values.
- 5%: Provides strategic oversight for facilities management and custodial services, ensuring operational efficiency and resource optimization across all campus locations.
- 5%: Oversee the processes related to local tax revenue, including the calculation of tax rates and required reporting, and maintain relationships with external entities to stay informed of critical dates and pending legislative changes. Ensure the timely completion and dissemination of required tax rate and budget documents, including coordinating website updates.
- 5%: Serves on Boards and Committees in varying capacities as requested by the President.
- 5%: Supports the coordination of internal and external audit processes ensuring timely provision and requested information and then implementing recommendations of auditors across the campus community, as needed.
- 5%: Perform other duties as assigned.

- Experience: At least ten years similar or related experience.
- Education: A Master's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or a related field. Current license as a certified public accountant in Texas is preferred.
- Interpersonal Skills: Motivating or influencing others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job, and a high level of interpersonal skills is critical to the success of this position. Work frequently involves contacts requiring considerable discussion of problems, material presentations, and resolving issues impacting departments or divisions.
- Other Skills: Demonstrated success in fiscal management.
- Physical Requirements: Able to perform all normal tasks in an office setting.
